Russia considers 'energy war' in response to incitement to war and EU-US sanctions

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov has announced the proclamation and introduction of counter-sanctions against the European Union for the coming days. According to observers, Russia is also no longer shying away from an energy war against the EU.

Multiple Russian media reported yesterday that the Russian government would have worked out firm counter-sanctions against the US and the EU and would introduce them in the coming days.

Most experts and observers reckon that measures that will hit the European energy market hard are also planned. A normally well-informed journalist writes citing the Russian Foreign Ministry on Telegram:

"Russian Foreign Ministry: Russia is ready for a hard confrontation with the EU in the energy sector, if necessary.

This is a warning of our readiness to start a global economic war if need be.

A blockade of energy supplies would devastate the European Union. Entire industries would be shut down and millions of people would lose their jobs.

Sympathy for the ´unbelievable Ukrainians´ will dissolve into air and domestic instability will bring down the political system of entire countries. In some countries fascists (in the original sense of the political term) will come to power, in others civil war and domestic terror will break out.

In this situation, Russia will stop at nothing to supply weapons to insurgents from Vilnius to Madrid. By the way, who says that the Basques are not already learning the tactics of deploying MANPADS and Javelin armor defense systems?

The global south will be ravaged by a famine, and Russia will be the only country able to feed the hungry. These armies of hungry people can be turned into new waves of refugees, or they can be armed to drive out the former white colonialists throughout Eurasia and Africa."

Sanctions war and economic war "inevitable"

Also yesterday, Russian Federation Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov announced the personal sanctions lists against Western politicians, businessmen and other prominent figures for the coming days. Ryabkov said on Russian television:

"The lists are ready. We are working on them. This is largely our daily work. To fixate on how and to what extent to respond to sanctions is probably wrong."

The top diplomat announced that Russian action in the sanctions war will be "cold-blooded."

He estimated the impact of Western sanctions as "manageable." The sanctions war and economic war would have been inevitable and would in no way depend on Russian action. Ryabkov literally:

"We knew and know that at any moment we have to reckon with an anger from the Americans. We prepared for this situation, which we are now experiencing. The sanctions would have been there even without the military operation. That has nothing to do with each other. If there had been no special operation, if the situation around the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics had been at least relatively normalized, I think Washington and its deputies would still have found a pretext to introduce all that (the sanctions)."

A relationship of trust between Russia and the US could no longer exist. One would have counted at the State Department: the number of waves of sanctions by the US against Russia would have long exceeded 100.
